Terms of Service

About these terms

These terms apply when you request a consultation, book sessions, or otherwise use StudyArc. StudyArc provides online SAT tutoring and is operated by its founders. Because most students are under 18, a parent or guardian arranges services and accepts these terms on the student's behalf.

Our services

StudyArc offers one-on-one online SAT tutoring in 60-minute sessions, along with practice, a study plan, and progress updates. Sessions are held on Zoom or Microsoft Teams and scheduled in Eastern Time, subject to availability.

Booking, pricing, and payment

Sessions are purchased in packages. The per-session price decreases as the package size increases; the multi-session price applies to packages that are completed. Payment for a package is due in full before the first session, by Zelle or Venmo. Packages and any account credit expire six months after purchase.

Rescheduling and missed sessions

You may reschedule or cancel a session at no cost with at least 36 hours' notice. With less than 36 hours' notice, or if the student does not attend, the session is counted as used. If StudyArc reschedules a session, it is never counted against your package.

Ending a package early

When you end a package before completing it, you may choose either option below:

A full refund with no fee is provided if you cancel before the first session, or if StudyArc is unable to provide the sessions and you do not want a replacement tutor.

Recordings and session transcripts

Sessions are not recorded. With the consent of both the student and the parent or guardian, a written transcript of a session may be generated and reviewed using AI tools to help plan instruction and support. If this consent is not given, no transcript is created. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us.

Student and family responsibilities

To get the most from tutoring, students are expected to attend on time, complete assigned practice, and give prompt notice of scheduling conflicts. A reliable internet connection and a quiet space are recommended. Materials we share are for the student's personal use and may not be redistributed or resold.

Third-party materials

Students use the College Board's free Bluebook application and official practice materials. StudyArc does not sell test-preparation materials. SAT is a trademark of the College Board, which is not affiliated with StudyArc and does not endorse StudyArc.

No guarantee of results

StudyArc provides tutoring and support but does not guarantee any particular score, admission outcome, or result. Services are provided on an "as is" basis.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StudyArc and its founders are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or services. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are reflected by updating the date above. Continued use of our services after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
